LIGHT SOURCES
IMPORTANCE OF CHOOSING THE
CORRECT LIGHT SOURCE
Quite simply, without an adequate and appropriate light source, there is no hyperspectral imaging possible. You can have the best hardware and software in the world, but if no light gets into the imaging spectrometer, you will get no signal.
Choosing the appropriate light source for your specific application is therefore critical to achieving robust and accurate hyperspectral data collection and analysis, and there are many different options, each with varying wavelength or wavelength range, light intensity, optical stability level, optical coupling methods, and bulb life expectancy.
ClydeHSI engineers have decades of experience designing and manufacturing a wide range of light sources for many commercial and academic applications. To help us to help you decide which is the right light source for you, please read below and contact us for a consultation.
